Do you use oils? No, however you can organise this with us prior to your massage session.
Do I have to remove my clothing? No, at most we may ask you to remove a jacket or obstructive jewelry for your massage.
What should I do during the massage? Hey relax, you own this time!! If you feel like having a chat, our therapists are great listeners. Otherwise enjoy your quiet time. Anytime you can ask
the therapist about matters relating to your massage.
Will I be tired afterwards? You will be more relaxed. Research has shown chair massage recipients to be even more alert and focused than before. See our benefits page for more details.
What if I want more or less pressure? Our
therapists are trained to adapt to a variety of body types and
sensitivities to pressure. The therapist will check with you during the
massage, but please don’t hesitate to let them know your preference.
What can I expect in a 30-minute massage? A
30 minute session allows the massage therapist to do in-depth work on
your shoulders, back, neck, arms & hands. You can also request more
massage time be spent on a specific area – just ask your therapist.
I'm pregnant. Should I still get a massage? Massage
is very beneficial for women during pregnancy. However, be sure to let
your massage therapist know you are pregnant, and what trimester you
are in so they can use appropriate techniques assuring your wellbeing
and comfort.
Are there contraindications for massage? Yes.
Your therapist will ask you before your massage, if there are any
conditions he or she should be aware of. Contraindications include but
are not limited to: fractures, herniated discs, uncontrolled
hypertension, numbness or tingling in any part of the body especially
the hands and feet.
