Corporate Yoga, stretching

Yoga is an increasingly popular activity thanks to the many health benefits attributed to practicing it, with Corporate Yoga transferring that to the convenience of the workplace.

With huge individual benefits from a regular yoga regime, businesses also naturally benefit, thanks to lower absenteeism, improved morale and stronger workplace loyalty, not to mention heightened productivity.

Absolutely Corporate’s Corporate Yoga offers a flexible workplace solution, with 45 minute classes able to hold up to 15 people. Introductory 10-minute stretch classes are also available, and can be done at workstations, as a great way to get started.

Absolutely Corporate’s yoga instructors are all internationally accredited and fully insured, and trained in Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Iyengar yoga with a focus on exercises that will provide the most benefit to those spending long hours at a desk or seated.

10 week courses are available in both beginner and advanced levels, with plenty of flexibility to meet your specific needs and budget. Ideally classes are held in a meeting room or boardroom, or somewhere similarly quiet with room for all those participating.

corporate yoga benefits

Yoga provides a huge number of benefits to general life, while also being particularly suited to relieving the common health problems associated with lengthy hours deskbound. While benefits start with the obvious, such as flexibility, improved muscle strength, better posture, and increased bloodflow, there are also many less obvious health gains.

Yoga also helps prevent cartilage and joint breakdown, helping reduce and slow the effect of degenerative arthritis, while similarly benefiting your spine.

Performing yoga can also help bone strength thanks to the weight-bearing exercises involved, which combats the effect of osteoporosis.

Other benefits include helping regulate your adrenal glands, which lowers cortisol levels, which when consistently high have been shown to lower immunity and effect memory, while being linked to depression, osteoporosis and high blood pressure.

Plus plenty of other feel good side-effects, such as, that’s right – feeling happier, improving memory, helping coordination and better general focus, no doubt thanks to feeling more relaxed.

Yoga has even been shown to help prevent IBS and digestive problems thanks to lower stress levels.
